KS4 Geography- Year 10

In Year 10 students will be following the new (9-1) AQA GCSE Geography course and study x7 units of work: Urban Issues & Challenges, Weather Hazards, Climate Change, Resource Management, Human Geography Fieldwork, Coastal Landscapes in the UK and Tectonic Hazards.

 

By the end of Year 10 in Geography we expect students to be able to:

  • Use case studies and examples to explain geographical processes and concepts
  • Use a range of geographical skills, including: literacy, numeracy and map skills accurately.

 

 

Year 11

In Year 11 students will be following the new (9-1) AQA GCSE Geography course and study x6 units of work: Physical Geography Fieldwork, Changing Economic World, Resource Management, Ecosystems (tropical rainforests and hot deserts), Rivers and Issues Evaluation.

 

By the end of Year 11 in Geography we expect students to be able to:

  • Use case studies and examples to explain geographical processes and concepts and apply these to new contexts
  • Analyse the points of view of different stakeholders

Use a wide range of geographical skills, including: literacy, numeracy and map skills accurately.
