2020 Foodbank Collection

02 December 2020

Each year, the school supports the local community by collecting for the Penryn & Falmouth Foodbank at Christmas time. We are delighted to announce that we will once again be collecting items this year, providing for those less fortunate during the festive period.

We are always grateful for the generosity and kindness of students, their families, and staff, and we also understand that many families may not be able to donate, particularly during these testing times.

During the week beginning Monday 7 December, the SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural) team will deliver assemblies to Years 8-11 on the role of foodbanks. Students will then be invited to bring donations into school, if possible.

The Foodbank would be grateful for donations, including:

Tinned ham, tinned meat meals, tinned potatoes, tinned carrots, tinned green vegetables, tinned sweetcorn, tinned/packed custard, tinned cream, tinned fruit, gravy granules, stuffing, cranberry sauce, Christmas pudding or similar, trifle packs or fruit jelly, mince pies, Christmas cake or chocolate log, quality biscuits, boxed/tinned chocolates, and savoury snacks, e.g. nuts or crisps.

The donations will be delivered to the Foodbank by Mrs Teagle and the Charity Prefects on Monday 14 December.

We would like to thank families in advance for their support.
