An Interview with Miss Couteleau

An interview with Miss Couteleau, our current French Assistant who is working in the Modern Foreign Language (MFL) department to help students develop their speaking confidence in French!

Alongside her role here at Penryn College, Miss Couteleau is in the third year of her English degree at the University of Exeter, Penryn Campus!

Which part of France are you from? Vertou, Nantes.

What’s Vertou like? It’s smaller than Falmouth and has a great sense of community.

What’s it famous for? It used to be named after a sausage made of pig blood.

Do you enjoy living in Cornwall? I love this area of England and the university experience in England is amazing.

What do you like about living in Falmouth? Being able to see the sea every day. People are very friendly!

What’s the strangest thing about life in Cornwall? The amount of rainbows!

What were your first impressions of Penryn College? Wonderful! Lots of different equipment and well structured.

What do you miss most about France? My friends and the food.

What’s your next step? I’m taking a gap year next year and plan to volunteer for the Youth Corps of the EU.

And the big one… jam or cream first? Cream!
