Easter Eggs and Cookies

24 March 2016

This month the Interact Club set up a special Easter egg raffle for pupils and staff. The week before the Easter holidays they set up a table in The Street during break time, where they showcased a selection of yummy Easter eggs, tempting in the crowds. Buying a raffle ticket meant you would be in with a chance of winning one of the eggs on display, with all money raised going to charity.

The star of the show was a hand decorated magnificent milk chocolate egg from Thorntons, with a “Happy Easter” message from the Interact Club. At the time of going to print the lucky winners of the Easter eggs were about to be revealed in a draw in the library. We will update you in the next Pennant on the amount raised!

The Interact Club runs on a Wednesday after school from 3.15pm-4.30pm, looking at ways to support events and charities in the local community. Last month to celebrate Valentine’s Day the club baked heart shaped cookies, which they sold to their fellow students. They raised £118 for two charities; Little Harbour House and Literacy Box.
