Long-Awaited Student Production Hits the Stage

26 January 2023

Cluedo – a student-led drama production five years in the making – took centre stage at Penryn College this week, with pupils, staff and families finally able to solve the murder mystery of ‘who done it?’!

A student-led play from start to finish, Year 11 pupils Maddie, Imogen, Niamh and Lily wrote, directed and acted alongside a cast made up of Year 7, 8 and 9 students – all of whom auditioned for their parts.

Indeed, members of the audience were immersed in the witty narrative that had everyone trying to work out who the murderer was. And with some very famous characters from the beloved board game Cluedo featured in the play, a twist at the end saw many spectators shocked by the culprit!

Reflecting on the efforts of the pupils, the Creative Arts team said: “It was a joy to watch the talents of our young people, who have used their experiences of performing and theatre to create a production that the whole team can feel very proud to be part of.”

“We hope to see more student-led productions in the future.”

Well done, everyone!
