Making Space for Nature at Permarin Park
22 November 2023Last week saw our Gardening Club students return to Penryn’s Permarin Park as part of Cornwall Council’s ongoing ‘Making Space for Nature’ project, rejuvenating this green area.
This visit involved our pupils working alongside Becky Pack, an Urban Ranger for Cormac, in helping with some winter maintenance, including the removal of hundreds of dandelions (finding hundreds of worms in the process) and planting a good number of daffodils to provide some early spring colour.
Following the trip, Mrs Alsop, who runs the Gardening Club, said: “I was so proud of the group. They are always cheerful, enthusiastic and fantastically behaved. They represent the school in the best way possible and are good company – in any weather!”
Well done everyone!
