MP Sarah Newton Visits School for Talk with Environmental Club
15 July 2019Members of Penryn College’s Environmental Club were visited by the Conservative Member of Parliament for Truro and Falmouth, Sarah Newton, on Friday to discuss issues surrounding the preservation of the planet.
Students asked a number of fantastic questions – looking for insight into the government’s plans and strategies on recycling, climate change, and much more, while gathering Mrs Newton’s personal opinions on those issues.
Indeed, Environmental Club members have dedicated their time to preserving the planet in recent months – planting trees around the school, leading the school’s participation in collecting crisp packets and biscuit wrappers for recycling, and much more.
A big thank you to Mrs Newton for visiting Penryn College and engaging with our pupils!
