National Careers Week

26 February 2021

It’s (Virtual) National Careers Week next week (1-6 March)! Check out all of the fantastic resources and opportunities on offer below:

Our Careers team would like to encourage parents and carers to explore the National Careers Week Parents’ Guide, which provides parents/carers with the information they need to help their children make the right choices and create a successful future after GCSEs. The guide is designed to inform, involve and encourage parental support and includes up-to-date information on topics such as apprenticeships, universities and revision techniques. To access the guide, please click here.

Step into the NHS Competition for Students: To start the week off with a bang, the Careers team will be posting details of the ‘Step into the NHS’ Key Stage 3 competition – organised by Health Education England – on Unifrog.

The competition asks pupils to create a job description and design a job advert for an NHS career in a creative way. Previous entries have included models of wards, a cardboard pinball machine, short films and a colourful lab coat!

Students could be in with a chance of winning some great prizes:

  • The overall national winner will receive an Amazon voucher worth £50, a certificate, and a prize for their class;
  • Regional winners will each receive an Amazon voucher worth £25 and a certificate.

To enter, you can click here to join or sign in to Unifrog.
