Rotary ‘Big Day Out 2016’

13 June 2016

A group of Penryn College pupils were invited to help at the annual Rotary ‘Big Day Out 2016’ on Wednesday 8th June.

The first Rotary ‘Big Day Out’ took place in 1990 and since then 25,000 disabled and disadvantaged children have been on a fun day out. The ‘Big Day Out’ is delivered nationally in conjunction with Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI) and provides the children with an experience that brings both fun and happiness into their lives.

This year the event was held at Helston-based theme park Flambards.  A selection of members from Penryn College’s Interact Club attended the event, offering support to the event organisers accompanied by Mrs Burley and Jim Henderson from Penryn Rotary Club.
