Rugby

Year 8 South West Tournament at Mount Kelly School

Our Year 8 Rugby team produced a number of fantastic performances to reach the final of the South West Rugby Tournament last week, where they lost to Blundell’s School.

The tournament consisted of some strong rugby schools, and Penryn won all of their group games to reach the semi-finals, before a brave performance in the final.

Well done, everyone!

Congratulations to Blundell’s on the tournament victory.

U14 Rugby v Taunton School – National Cup (Home)

Last week saw our U14 Rugby team exit the National Cup following a defeat to Taunton School.

As always, Penryn demonstrated great determination throughout what was an entertaining clash.

Good luck to to Taunton in the next round of the competition.

Year 7-10 Rugby v Penrice Academy (Home)

Our Year 7-10 Rugby teams took part in a set of exciting fixtures against Penrice Academy last week.

All of the games were contested in a great spirit, with some impressive performances across all year groups.

Basketball

U14 Basketball v Torquay School – Regional League (Home)

Last week saw our U14 Basketball team record a brilliant victory in their Regional League fixture against Torquay School.

A fantastic team performance, coupled with some fine individual displays from Alex S-H, Fionn G and Toby C, saw Penryn secure an important win in their fight to finish top of the league .

Netball

Year 7 and 8 Netball v Penair School (Away)

Three of our Year 7 Netball teams and one Year 8 side took part in friendly fixtures against Penair School last week.

All teams performed fantastically well, with all three Year 7 teams winning and Year 8 drawing.

Performance Sport Development v Penwith College (Away)

Last week saw our Year 11 Performance Sport Development team take part in a friendly fixture against Penwith College.

Despite suffering a defeat, there were some positives to take from the match, with the team showing great bravery and resilience throughout.
