Teamwork the Key for Construction Group

Our Year 10 Vocational Academy Construction group enjoyed another fantastic day of tasks and challenges at Cornwall College on Wednesday.

In the second week of their programme, students were tasked with building a ‘da Vinci Bridge’ – a structure consisting of pieces of wood screwed into each other.

Indeed, using planks of wood and wooden dowels, pupils split into two teams, putting in lots of effort to build their bridges, before deciding to work as one big team!

The process saw the team’s structure fall down many times, but they demonstrated lots of determination – working together in a fantastic manner to beat a record held by Mounts Bay School!

Well done on demonstrating your teamwork skills, effort and resilience, boys!
