A Message from Mrs Croxall for Parents/Carers

Dear Parent/Carer(s)

We have had a very busy afternoon at the school today.

We were alerted to a gas leak in the old building and advised to evacuate this half of the school. This took place from 12.30pm until 2.00pm today and approximately 12 classes were impacted.

We received confirmation that students could return to the building in time for lessons 6 and 7.

Our pupils conducted themselves in an exemplary manner throughout, so please do pass on this praise to your child this evening.

Unrelated, however, during this period of time an ambulance and Air Ambulance arrived at the school to attend to a student’s medical need. This was not connected, so please do reassure your child of this. The pupil concerned is doing well.

I wanted to ensure that you were fully aware of the situation so that you can be prepared for any questions your child may have when they return home from school this evening.
