A Special Visit to the University of Oxford

10 of our Year 11 students experienced a taste of life as University of Oxford students prior to the Christmas break, as part of a special two-day trip organised by our Careers team.

Pupils visited one of the constituent colleges of the university, Exeter College, which boasts author J.R.R. Tolkien, among others, as alumni.

And it was here where they enjoyed an introduction talk and tour of the campus, two academic sessions in English and STEAM, a workshop on artificial intelligence and admissions, lunch in the Great Hall, and a student Q & A.

Our pupils also experienced a literature masterclass, a tour of the University of Oxford’s library, and even saw written copies of famous novels including Frankenstein!

The students had a fantastic trip, with lots hoping to attend the university in the future!
