Black Lives Matter

21 July 2020

Headteacher, Mr Walker, recently met with two former pupils for an important discussion regarding the Black Lives Matter movement. You can read Mr Walker’s statement, which reflects on this meeting, below:

“It was great to meet ex-students Anna Munden and Jemina Adewole to discuss the Black Lives Matter movement. Anna has been active in bringing the community together around this issue and we were really pleased to be able to talk through our current programme at the school, as well as think through how we develop this for the future. As a key part of our improvement plan for 2020-21, we are looking forward to putting our commitment to diversity and equality under the spotlight; this will ensure that our curriculum, College culture and working practice reflects our determination to be an open and inclusive place to study and work. We are really grateful to Anna and Jemina for their time, and staff, students, and governors look forward to working with them in the future.”
