Foodbank Donations Reach 80 Families During Festive Period

08 January 2025

We are delighted to report that, thanks to the generosity of the local community, our annual collection for the Penryn & Falmouth Foodbank reached approximately 80 families over the Christmas period.

Our students delivered the items on the final day of term, much to the delight of the fantastic volunteers at the foodbank, who were quick to express their gratitude to everyone who contributed.

Indeed, Penryn & Falmouth Foodbank Administrator, Adenike, said: “We are so grateful to all the staff and students of Penryn College for your kind and generous donations of 129kg of provisions to our foodbank and your amazing response to our recent appeal for Christmas hamper provisions.

“You brought good cheer to about 80 families during the Christmas season – we couldn’t do what we do without you! Thank you for supporting our efforts. We are truly grateful and say a big thank you also from all our clients who will benefit from your kindness and generosity.”

The Penryn & Falmouth Foodbank is reliant on the generosity of the community all year round. If you would like to donate to the foodbank independently, please click here to view the list of most needed items.
