Helping Create an Inclusive & Accessible Future
02 February 2025Our Year 9 students enjoyed a day of creating ideas for a more inclusive and accessible future as part of this week’s visit from Ctrl Alt Del_.
Ctrl Alt Del_ is run by Cornwall-based non-profit organisation Tecwomen CIC, and its aim is to bring the tech industry and communities together to explore what an accessible and inclusive future looks like.
Indeed, students were split into groups and tasked with creating an idea which could help people within the inclusion areas listed below access a certain service or activity.
Inclusion areas: Gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, disability, neurodiversity, age, culture, religion, financial situation, location.
As part of the brief, pupils were asked to consider why they had chosen the inclusion area, what made their idea innovative, and how the idea would work, before delivering a short presentation.
The results were fantastic and both the Ctrl Alt Del_ team and staff were full of praise for our students.
A big thank you to the Ctrl Alt Del_ team for visiting us!
