This is what Mr Lugg did in the first week of September!
14 September 2016On September 1, Dan Lugg, our Peninsula Schools Sports Partnership Co-ordinator, was part of a six person team who ran a mammoth 270 miles from St Just, near Penzance to Gloucester in 48 hours nonstop! The team’s aim was to raise £10 000 towards an operation and rehabilitation support for little 8 year old Chloe.
Chloe has cerebral palsy and is unable to walk without assistance of a walking frame. However, she is a prime candidate for an operation to enable her to walk without the frame, giving her a life changing opportunity. This operation is not available on the NHS so her family are attempting to raise the £50 000 cost of the operation and rehab (approx 1k per month for 2 years). Dan’s team have met their goal of £10K for Chloe, which is amazing! He had very sore and tired legs last week, and yes, if you saw some strange men running up the A30 dressed in pink around that time, he was one of them!
