Penryn College Athletes Clinch Four County Titles in Track & Field Cup

What a marvellous week for our athletes in the Track and Field Cup, with all four Penryn College teams crowned as County champions for the second consecutive year!

Facing 72 teams and 19 schools from across the county, our Junior and Intermediate Boys’ teams and Junior and Intermediate Girls’ teams shined in all events, successfully defending their titles in style to qualify for next month’s Regional Finals.

The competition saw each athlete take part in one track and one field event, scoring points for their performances, with the total points earned for each team as follows:

Junior Boys (Top 3)
1 – Penryn College, 336 points
2 – Truro School, 301 points
3 – Richard Lander School, 283 points

Junior Girls (Top 3)
1 – Penryn College, 311 points
2 – Penrice Academy, 293 points
3 – Richard Lander School, 290 points

Intermediate Boys (Top 3)
1 – Penryn College, 450 points
2 – Penrice Academy, 337 points
3 – Wadebridge School, 291 points

Intermediate Girls (Top 3)
1 – Penryn College, 358 points
2 – Penair School, 345 points
3 – Richard Lander School, 319 points
