Teachers, students, and parents/guardians came together to celebrate the Half-Term Achievement Management Awards at Penryn College on Wednesday morning, as pupils were rewarded for their exemplary, good-natured behaviour and academic achievements.

Following news that Penryn College had secured a strong position in the Government League Table for Student Progress within Cornwall – Wednesday’s Achievement Management Awards presentation came at a fitting time for the school.

Assistant Head, Mrs Oliver, gave an introductory talk to parents and guardians, outlining the efforts pupils had gone to in earning their awards, before Headteacher, Mr Walker, congratulated each and every individual for their accomplishments. Year 10 students Sebastien and Dora also gave their congratulations, while presenting the winners with their certificates.

Speaking following the presentation, Mrs Oliver said: “We’re delighted to celebrate students going above and beyond in displaying fantastic behaviour both in and out of the classroom, while helping their fellow pupils in everyday school life.

“It was fantastic to see lots of proud parents and guardians take time out to visit the school and watch students receive their congratulations. Equally, it was great to see how proud our pupils were,” continued Mrs Oliver.

The following students earned Achievement Management Awards from each respective year group: Rosie, Opal, Jayden and Charles (Year 7), Amelia, Ella, Liam, Anson, Lucy and Revan (Year 8), Ceilidh, Caden and Daniel (Year 9), Isabel and Jack (Year 10), and Elicia and Joel (Year 11).

Well done to all of the students for their fantastic achievements!
