Penryn College Duo Take Top Spot in Video Game Event

It was a very successful half term for Year 10 students Ruan and Fred, who saw their video game voted as the winner of Cornwall Games’ Game Jam event, hosted by Happy Piranha in Truro.

Competing as a team of two against adult teams of up to six people, Ruan and Fred were tasked with designing and building a video game over two days, before gamers and members of the public casted their votes for the entry which most impressed them.

The duo’s game was recognised as “the most polished and finished”, receiving a large majority of the votes.

As a reward for their achievement, the boys won a £50 voucher for Happy Piranha’s gift shop!
