Penryn College Named as Music Mark School for Second Year Running
08 October 2022We are delighted to announce that, for the second consecutive year, we have been named as a Music Mark School, in recognition of our commitment to providing high-quality music education for all children and young people.
Music Mark is a membership organisation, subject association, and charity, which advocates for excellent music education. Its nomination system allows music hubs and services across the UK to nominate schools which they believe have shown a commitment to providing high-quality music education.
Indeed, Penryn College received its nomination from ASONE Perform – a local community interest company working to support the music education of young people in Cornwall.
Reflecting on the news, Penryn College Head of Music, Miss Allen, said: “Once again, we are thrilled to have been recognised for our contribution to music. A huge thank you to ASONE Perform for our nomination, and to Music Mark for rewarding us.”
As part of becoming a Music Mark School, Penryn College receives a range of benefits, including access to an extensive library of member-only resources, invites to member-only events and training, and much more.
“We are excited to continue developing opportunities for music making in our school community with this fantastic support,” Miss Allen concluded.
