Pupils ‘Dig Deeper’ into Case Studies

30 September 2024

This month saw over 30 of our GCSE Geographers take part in a virtual enrichment opportunity on ‘Digging Deeper’ into case studies.

It was led by Alan Parkinson from the Geographical Association, and there were some very interesting ideas and examples introduced from across a range of geographical topics. These included climate change, deserts, urban areas and globalisation.

Mrs Westhead, Head of Humanities, and Miss Greenaway, Head of Year 8, have already started to add some of these ideas into lessons for both Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils, and are also hoping to offer more opportunities like this for all year groups in the future.

Please get in touch with the Geography department if you would like to get involved as a guest speaker about a Geography-related career!
