Pupils Narrowly Miss Out on National Team Golf Finals

A big well done to all seven of our students who represented Penryn College in the recent Cornwall Schools Team Golf Championships at Falmouth Golf Club!

On a deceptively difficult day, with strong winds making scoring hard, the boys performed very well, representing the school with pride throughout the tournament.

This was a Team Stableford competition, with the two best scores from a team of three counting.

With a stunning score of 73, the team of Harry Ch, Rory J and Harry Ca were leading the field until the final pair of the day came in with 75 points to pip them to the title and earn the honour of representing Cornwall in the National Finals at the prestigious Woodhall Spa Golf Club.

Once again, a big well done to all of our students involved!
