Remembrance Day – In Pictures

15 November 2016

n Friday the 11th of November 2016 students and staff at Penryn College organised and took part in a stunning day of remembrance activities. We invite you to look back on the events of the day with us in this special photo story. We will remember.

Mr Childs and Will Pyatt wear their military and cadet uniforms with pride.

A moving performance of The Last Post from student and staff trumpet players echoed throughout the school as we remembered. Windows and doors were left open so that those in their classrooms could also experience the atmosphere.

Teacher of Maths and Science, and Pilot Officer (VRT) Mr Childs lead students from fire, police, army and sea cadets through the school entrance to the Garden of Remembrance. Director of Business Mr Cunningham also accompanied them.

History leaders prepared a wreath which was placed the by the plaque in our special Garden of Remembrance

From Army Cadets to Scouts, uniformed students ended the service by adding their memorial crosses to the garden.

Many thanks to Miss Chapman who co-ordinated the days proceedings.
