Special Visit to Pendennis Shipyard

As part of our National Apprenticeship Week celebrations, last month saw nine of our Year 11 students enjoy a fantastic trip to Falmouth-based boatbuilders Pendennis Shipyard.

After a health and safety induction, pupils had the opportunity to spray paint panels with state-of-the-art equipment, enjoy an in-depth tour of the shipyard and its multi-million pound yachts, ask any questions they had, and learn lots about the techniques of the tradespeople.

The day provided our students with an exceptional insight into working life at Pendennis Shipyard, as well as an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Pendennis Shipyard!
