Sports Report – 16/10/17
18 October 2017Football:
A huge well done and good luck to Year 11 students Harrison Jewell, Sam Pickup and Alex Wharton who have been selected for England Schools FA U18 trials this week.
Only the one National Cup fixture last week which saw the Year 11s beat Falmouth School 6-0 and progress to Round 3.
Rugby:
Penryn Year 8s came 7th in the county rugby festival finished 7th with victories over Camborne, Humphry Davy and Fowey.
Y11s beat Penair in Round 1 of the County Cup, 43-22. The Year 7s and 9s also enjoyed league win over Penair, with the Year 9s particularly impressive winning 79-7.

Hockey:
U16 County Tournament
Girls Beat Penrice 3 -1, lost Liskeard 2-1 and lost to Truro High the eventual winners 1-0

Basketball:
Penryn Saracens Basketball National League team lost to a very strong Somerset Tigers team 59-78.
Biathlon:
Zak Clemens won the South West Regional Biathlon Championships and will now go to the National Finals at the end of November
