Year 9 & 10 Boys’ and Year 9 & 10 Girls’ Handball v Poltair School (Away)

The Year 9 & 10 Boys’ and Year 9 & 10 Girls’ Handball teams took part in their first-ever friendly fixtures on Wednesday evening.

Both sides produced excellent team performances, with Dan and Rosie earning the Player of the Match Awards in their respective fixtures!

Year 9, 10 & 11 Girls’ Rugby v Poltair School (Away)

Wednesday saw a mix of Year 9, 10 and 11 girls travel to Poltair School to take part in their first-ever Rugby fixture!

The team produced a fantastic and determined performance, with Year 11 student, Laila, earning the Player of the Match Award!

Year 7, 8 and 9 Boys’ Rugby v Richard Lander School (Home)

On Tuesday evening, the Year 7, 8 and 9 Boys’ Rugby teams took part in a group set of fixtures against Richard Lander School.

All of the squads produced great performances, with two full Year 7 teams making it out onto the pitch (Saracens and Nomads) and, along with the other year groups, represented the school with pride.

Year 11 Boys’ Rugby v Truro College (Away)

The Year 11 Rugby squad enjoyed a fantastic afternoon on Wednesday, when they faced Truro College’s U17 side.

It was a close, exciting encounter, and a fantastic opportunity to play against a number of former students who concluded their time with us last year!

Year 7, 8 and 9 Rugby v Exeter School (Away)

Our Year 7, 8 and 9 Rugby teams enjoyed a fantastic day out in Devon on Saturday, as they took part in a group set of fixtures against Exeter School.

A big well done to all players who took part. A great experience for all involved!

Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 Girls’ Netball v Helston Community College (Home)

Our Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 Girls’ Netball teams faced Helston Community College in a group set of fixtures on Thursday evening.

All students represented the school with pride, and demonstrated their togetherness with some fantastic team performances!

Year 10 – Sophie

Year 7 & 8 Girls’ Football v Pool School (Home)

The Year 7 & 8 Girls’ Football team exited the National Schools Cup on Wednesday evening, following a third round loss to Pool School.

The squad put in a brave performance against very strong opponents, and should be proud of their efforts in getting to this stage of the national tournament.

A special mention to Lottie and Elena, who were named as Players of the Match.

Year 8 & 9 Girls’ Football v Wadebridge School (Home)

Wednesday saw the Year 8 & 9 Girls’ Football team suffer a third round National Schools Cup defeat to Wadebridge School.

After two strong displays in the previous rounds of the competition, Penryn put in a brave performance against a strong Wadebridge side.

Player of the Match was Elena, who was fantastic between the sticks!

Year 11 Girls’ Football v Mounts Bay Academy (Away)

The Year 11 Girls’ Football players were eliminated from the National Schools Cup on Thursday evening, following a third round defeat to Mounts Bay Academy.

Penryn put in a brave performance against a strong Mounts Bay side, which featured a player who represents England.

Player of the Match was Laila.
