Cross Country Cup – Regional Round at Downside School, Bath
Following their success at the Cross Country Cup Cornwall and Devon Round last month, our Junior Boy’s, Junior Girl’s and Intermediate Boy’s teams took part in the Regional Round at Downside School, Bath, over the weekend.
All teams performed fantastically well, with the Junior Boy’s team – featuring Year 7 pupils Josh and Matty and Year 8 students Zeph, Ed, Josh and Sam – finishing second overall to qualify for next month’s National Finals in Leeds!
A big well done to all pupils involved!
Football
Year 11 Boy’s Football v Cape Cornwall School – U16 County Cup, Round 1 (Home)
Our Year 11 Boy’s Football team progressed to the second round of the County Cup following a fantastic win against Cape Cornwall School on Thursday afternoon.
The pupils played some great team football, with Kaiden picking up the Player of the Match award following his return from injury.

Year 11 Girl’s Football v St Ives School – U16 County Cup, Round 1 (Home)
An enthralling penalty shootout saw the Year 11 Girl’s Football team exit the County Cup last week.
After a Penryn equaliser in the final minutes of normal time made it 1-1, each team took 16 penalties each in the resulting shootout before St Ives emerged as winners.
The girls produced a fantastic performance and played their part in a very entertaining game, with Grace picking up the Player of the Match award.

Football
A big congratulations to Year 7 student Thomas A, and Year 8 pupils Zephrin C-W and Ed C, who have been selected to represent the U13 West Cornwall District Football team.
Cricket
A big well done to Year 9 students Seren T, Polly D, Elena G-C and Isabel M, who have been selected for the U15 County Cricket team!
Netball
U14 Girl’s County Netball Tournament at Penryn College
Saturday saw our U14 Girl’s Netball team qualify for the Regional Finals following their fantastic second-place finish in the U14 County Tournament.
After winning their pool, Penryn defeated Truro High School in the semi-finals to progress to the final, where they faced Penair School.
Despite a narrow defeat in the final, Penryn earned a spot in the Regional Finals, joining our Year 11 team who won the U16 County Tournament earlier this year.
Well done, girls, and congratulations to Penair!
U19 Girl’s Netball Tournament at Truro College
The U16 Girl’s Netball team competed against a number of strong sides in the U19 County Netball Tournament last week.
Due to age restrictions, Penryn were limited to playing pool games only, but performed fantastically well – registering two wins and one loss.
Well done, girls!
Rugby
Year 7 Boy’s County Rugby Festival at Truro College
The Year 7 Boy’s Rugby team competed in a friendly County Rugby Festival at Truro College last week.
The boys won two and lost two during the competition, playing some fantastic rugby along the way.
Well done, boys!
U15 Boy’s Rugby Tournament at Plymouth College
Our U15 Boy’s Rugby team took part in an entertaining triangular tournament with Plymouth College and Stover School last week.
All of the matches were played in a fantastic spirit with some brilliant rugby on display.
