Basketball

U16 and U14 Basketball v St Boniface College – National Cup (Home)

Our U16 and U14 Basketball teams progressed to the next round of the National Cup after victories over Plymouth-based school, St Boniface College, on Wednesday afternoon.

The U14s produced a great team performance, with their potent offence complimenting their strong defence throughout the match. They will play the winners of the Bristol region in the next round of the competition.

Later that afternoon, our U16s registered a narrow victory with a good defensive performance and some great shooting. They will play Treviglas Academy in the next round of the competition.

Football

Year 7 Football v Camborne Academy – County Cup (Home)

Thursday evening saw our Year 7 Football team progress to the second round of the County Cup following a first-round victory against Camborne Academy.

A fine team performance saw several of Penryn’s players register their names on the scoresheet, with Eli picking up the Player of the Match award after a fantastic display in midfield.

Year 7, 9 and 10 Football v Mullion School (Home)

Two Year 7 teams and our Year 8 and 9 Football squads took part in exciting fixtures against Mullion School on Thursday evening.

All teams played some great football, with both Year 7 squads earning victories, Year 9 losing, and Year 10 drawing.

U16 Girl’s Hockey v Truro School (Home)

Our U16 Girl’s Hockey team took part in an entertaining fixture against Truro School on Thursday afternoon.

Despite losing the encounter, Penryn’s players performed extremely well against a strong Truro side, with Sasha producing a standout display in goal.
