Matty and Joshua finished in first and second place, respectively, with Xavi just behind in fourth. Meanwhile, Robson and Jowan secured very respectable 12th and 15th spots.

Hockey

U12 Boy’s County Hockey Tournament at Penryn College

Thanks to their commitment to training and fantastic attitude throughout the day, our two Year 7 Boy’s Hockey teams experienced great success in Friday’s U12 County Tournament.

Our A team finished in second position, failing to win only one of their six matches and securing a spot in the Regionals at Millfield School on Tuesday 14 March.

Meanwhile, our B team also enjoyed a successful day and held their own against some of the strongest teams in the county.

Training for Year 7 and 8 boys will continue with Mr Shepherd and Mr Nancarrow on Fridays after school, as both squads prepare for their quest for success at the Regionals next month.

Well done, boys!

Our U13 Girl’s Cricket team secured a spot in the U13 County Finals after fantastic performances in last week’s Qualifiers.

Penryn registered victories against each of their opponents – defeating Redruth, Penair and Truro School to finish the tournament in top spot after impressive spells with the bat and ball.

Well done, girls!

U13 Boy’s County Cricket Tournament at Truro College

Following in the footsteps of the girls, our U13 Boy’s Cricket team produced a series of fine performances in last week’s County Qualifiers.

A victory over Penair and narrow losses to Redruth and Truro School meant that the boys failed to make the Finals, but their conduct and attitude throughout the day was fantastic.

Indeed, one of Penryn’s standout moments in the tournament saw Tom P take three wickets in his first over of the day!

Well done, boys!

Football

Year 7 Boy’s Football v Mounts Bay Academy – County Cup (Away)

Last week saw our Year 7 Football team progress to the next round of the County Cup following an impressive victory over Mounts Bay Academy.

Goals from Harry M and Eli P secured the win in extra time following a fantastic Penryn performance.

Congratulations to Harry who picked up the Player of the Match award.

Well done, boys!

Well done, everyone!

U13 and U15 Academy Football v Ivybridge Community College (Home)

Last week saw our U13 and U15 Academy Football players continue their development against Ivybridge Community College.

Both games provided fantastic, competitive entertainment, as Penryn faced a number of Plymouth Argyle Academy players, with our U13s drawing and the U15s losing.

Well done, everyone!
