Year 9 Rugby v Torquay Boys’ Grammar School – National Cup (Home)
Our Year 9 Rugby team progressed to the fourth round of the National Cup following a fantastic comeback victory against Torquay Boys’ Grammar School last week.
After trailing 19-5 at the half-time break, Penryn produced a magnificent second-half performance to turn the game on its head – with the scoreboard reading 27-24 in favour of the hosts come the final whistle.
A big congratulations to all players, including Player of the Match, Will C.
Penryn will host Taunton School in the next round of the competition.
Year 10 Rugby v Truro School – County Cup (Home)
Monday 21 November saw our Year 10 Rugby team exit the County Cup following a quarter-final loss to Truro School.
Penryn demonstrated resilience throughout the game, with some fantastic individual performances, including a Player of the Match display from Ethan E.
Great effort, boys. Wishing the best of luck to Truro in the next round of the competition.
Year 7-9 Rugby v Mounts Bay Academy (Home)
Our Year 7, 8 and 9 Rugby teams took part in a group set of fixtures against Mounts Bay Academy last week.
All teams played some impressive rugby, with Eli and Carter picking up the Year 7 Player of the Match awards.
Year 7 Rugby v Mullion School (Home)
Our Year 7 Rugby team played their part in an entertaining fixture against Mullion School last week.
Winston’s fine performance earned him the Player of the Match award.

Netball
Year 7-11 Netball v Truro School (Away)
Our Year 7-11 Netball teams faced Truro School in a group set of fixtures on Thursday, registering three wins, one draw and one loss.
All teams performed with bravery and skill – with the Year 7, 9 and 11 teams winning, Year 8 drawing, and Year 10 losing.
Congratulations to the following players on earning Player of the Match awards:
Year 7 – Zofia; Year 8 – Daisy; Year 9 – Elena; Year 10 – Merryn; Year 11 – Tilly.
Year 7 Netball v Polwhele House School (Away)
Our Year 7 Netball team produced a brave, resilient performance against Polwhele House School last week.
Congratulations to Holly, who picked up the Player of the Match award.

Football
Year 10 Girl’s Football v Camborne Academy – National Cup (Home)
Our Year 10 Girl’s Football team suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Camborne Academy in their third-round National Cup fixture on Tuesday evening.
There was little to separate the two sides in a match which saw Lottie score her first-ever goal for the school, and the whole team produce a resilient performance.
Wishing the best of luck to Camborne in the next round of the competition.
Year 7 Football v Penair School (Home)
There was double success for our Year 7 Football teams on Friday, as both sides registered impressive victories against Penair School.
All members of both teams produced fantastic performances, with Matty and Miles earning the Player of the Match awards.

Hockey
U16 County Hockey Tournament at Penryn College and Truro School
Two of our U16 Hockey teams took part in the County Hockey Tournament last week.
One team reached the semi-finals, where they lost to Truro School.

Year 7 Boy’s and Girl’s Hockey v Truro School (Home)
Two of our Year 7 Hockey teams produced impressive performances against Truro School last week, with both sides unfortunately losing.
Despite the results, there were lots of positives to take from the games.

Basketball
U16 Basketball v Treviglas Academy (Home)
Our U16 Basketball team hosted Treviglas Academy in a Regional League fixture last week.
Despite losing the match, Penryn demonstrated a great deal of character and fight throughout.
