U12 County Indoor Tournament at Cornwall Cricket Centre
Last week saw our U12 Boy’s Cricket team secure the County Indoor Tournament title following a number of fantastic performances.
The boys completed the competition with a 100% winning record after defeating Truro School, Mounts Bay Academy, Launceston College, and Brannel School on the way to lifting the tournament trophy.
Each player demonstrated all the hard work they had put in during training, with wicket keeper Harry P picking up the Player of the Tournament award.
Well done, boys!
Basketball
U16 Basketball v Truro School (Away)
Our U16 Basketball team registered a fantastic victory over Truro School last week.
An impressive team performance laid the foundations for the win, with Zac F picking up the Player of the Match award.
The match also saw our Year 11 players pull on a Penryn College basketball jersey for the last time, with Tae, Kaeden, Dan and Joss playing their final game for the school. We wish them all the best in their next steps.
Well done, everyone!
Rugby
U14 Eric Blackman State School Tournament
Our U14 Boy’s Rugby team took part in the Eric Blackman State School Rugby Tournament in Chippenham last week.
Penryn played a lovely style of rugby throughout the competition, with their short, sharp ball handling helping them earn a second-place finish in their pool.
Subsequently, the boys faced the second-placed team in the opposite pool, Churchill Academy, who came away with the victory, meaning Penryn finished in a very respectable fourth position overall.
Well done, boys!
Football
U12 Girl’s Football v Redruth School – County Cup (Home)
Despite a fantastic performance, our U12 Girl’s Football team exited the County Cup at the quarter-final stage last week.
Both sides played their part in what was an exciting, end-to-end contest, with some brilliant football on display.
Congratulations to Immy, who picked up the Player of the Match award.
Well done, girls!
Thank You
