Year 8 Jr. NBA Regional Final v Beaminster School (A)

Last week saw our Year 8 Jr.NBA team book a spot in the South West Jr. NBA Final Fours following a fantastic 60-39 win over Dorset-based Beaminster School!

It was yet again another brilliant team performance from the boys, who will travel to Bristol in June to battle it out for the South West Jr. NBA title.

Following the match, Mr Holmes said: “Congratulations to this talented team who represented the school incredibly well today.”

Well done, lads! A fantastic achievement!

Year 7 Jr. NBA Regional Final v Atlantic Academy (H)

Inspired by the Year 8 team’s victory, our Year 7 Jr.NBA side secured a spot in the South West Final Fours with a great win against Atlantic Academy last week.

Penryn’s strong defence built the foundations for the victory, allowing the more attacking players to express themselves, resulting in a great team performance.

U15 Girls’ Hardball Cricket v Truro School (H)

Our U15 Girls’ Cricket team progressed to the second round of the National Cup last week following a fantastic victory against Truro School.

The squad surpassed Truro’s total of 109 runs in the 17th over to win the match by eight wickets and set up a tie against Plymouth College in the next round of the competition.

U12 and U14/15 Boys’ Hardball Cricket v Penair School

Last week saw our U12 and U14/15 Cricket teams take on Penair School in two friendly fixtures.

The U12s produced some fantastic cricket with the bat and ball, recording 121-4 in their innings, and Penair scoring 96-5.

Meanwhile, the U14/15 side battled well against a strong Penair side who recorded an impressive victory on the day.
