Netball

U12 National Cup Netball v King Edward VI School (H)

Our U12 Netball team narrowly missed out on a place in the final four of the National Cup last week following a quarter-final defeat to King Edward VI School Southampton.

In what was a fantastic, free-flowing game, both teams matched each other goal for goal throughout the encounter, with King Edward School securing a narrow victory.

Well done everyone, and good luck to King Edward School in the semi-finals!

U12 Netball v Truro School (A)

In preparation for their National Cup fixture, our U12 Netball team registered a fantastic victory over Truro School last week.

Well done everyone!

Football

U16 Girls’ County Cup Football v Camborne (H)

Our U16 Girls’ Football team progressed to the semi-finals of the County Cup last week following a fantastic penalty shootout victory against Camborne Science & International Academy.

The closely contested match finished 1-1, with Anya on the scoresheet for Penryn, and Elena earning the Player of the Match award after an inspired display between the sticks.

Following the full-time whistle, Penryn kept their composure during the penalty shootout to secure a memorable quarter-final victory and book a spot in the next round.

Well done, girls, and thank you to Camborne for a great game!

U12-16 Fixtures v Truro School

10 of our Football teams took part in a fantastic, action-packed set of fixtures against Truro School, both home and away, throughout last week. The matches provided some great experience for all players, with some brilliant football on display.

Well done everyone!

Cricket

U12 Boys’ County Indoor Cricket Tournament at Cornwall Cricket Centre

Our U12 Boys’ Cricket team took part in their first indoor cricket competition last week, demonstrating the many skills they have developed in recent months.

On the day, it came down to very fine margins between all teams involved, which saw the boys suffer narrow defeats to Penair and Richard Lander, before earning a hard-fought, slender victory over Helston.

Excellent bowling from Robin H, Henry R, Theo J and Marley C kept the opposition runs down to a minimum, and brilliant batting from all members of the squad kept Penryn on the front foot.

Penryn’s star performer was Arthur D, who kept wicket exceptionally all day.

Well done, lads!

Basketball

U13 Jr. NBA Tournament at Treviglas Academy

Representing the Minnesota Timberwolves, our Year 8 students took part in their first Jr. NBA Tournament of the year last week.

The squad put in some great performances, winning two of their three matches against Poltair and Brannel School.

February will see the team reunite as they look to qualify for the Jr. NBA Regional Playoffs.

Well done everyone!

U15 Basketball v Penrice Academy (H)

Our U15 Basketball team hosted Penrice Academy in a friendly fixture last week.

The game was played in great spirit by both sets of players, with Penryn registering a narrow victory over their opponents.

We look forward to the return fixture in February.

Well done everyone!
