Students Begin Sports Leadership Journey

Seven of our students have earned Bronze awards in leadership as part of their training to help lead primary school sports events and other related activities.

Eia, Ruby, Will, Taylor, Zyg, Emily and Eliza attended the Time2Lead Conference at Truro County Hall, which saw them take part in workshops covering teamwork, mental health, Youth Voice, and coaching – helping them gain skills and understand the role of a leader.

All of the pupils have committed to earning the Gold award by the end of the school year, which will include leading a primary school training day and helping lead a host of School Games events throughout the year.

Reflecting on the training, Mr Ash said: “I’m extremely proud of all of the pupils and how they conducted themselves throughout the day.”
