Students Continue Fantastic Work at Local Park

27 March 2025

Last week, our Gardening Club students returned to Permarin Park in Penryn to continue to help with the ongoing maintenance of the community space which has been transformed by Cormac in recent years.

Our pupils have been involved in the project for several years, and Gardening Club Lead, Mrs Alsop, provided an update on their latest visit to the area.

“It was lovely to see the planting from previous years that has persisted and to revisit the park,” said Mrs Alsop.

“We reseeded the wildflower meadow, planted new perennials, and gave the main beds a good weed. The students were an absolute credit to the school, working cooperatively for the afternoon, and enjoying being out in the spring sunshine.

“This week, we are back to tending to the school garden – a very busy time of year as we get seeds in the ground and plant out seedlings. We’re looking forward to harvests next term and our now traditional rhubarb ice cream!”
