Successful Year 9 Careers Evening

Tuesday evening saw our Year 9 Students exploring possible career pathways in preparation for choosing their GCSE Options in January.  Over 25 companies including Software Cornwall, Koha Architects, Allen and Heath, Hine Downing, Watson Marlow, Sugar Magic as well as colleagues from Falmouth College, Truro College, Cornwall College, Falmouth Marine School and Duchy College had stalls in the lower street with representatives available to discuss careers and further education.  Students had the opportunity to use high tech computer equipment as well as trying out engineering based experiments.  Mrs Burley, one of the organisers of the evening, said “I am delighted that so many students and their parents were able to attend to see the amazing careers and opportunities that are available to them within the local community.  We are very grateful to all the companies that gave up their valuable time to come along to the event to offer advice to our students”
