The Summer holidays can be a difficult time for parents; desperately attempting to entertain their children in the atypical Cornish Summer ‘mizzle’. Penryn College have recognised this, but also the chance it creates for children to continue their learning and development beyond the normal school term.

EdVenture could come to the rescue this summer with a range of activities arranged to engage children between the ages of 3-16 in a host of sporting, artistic and academic means. The various sessions, either based at the College or off-site at specifically selected venues, are all led by experts within their field and intended to cater for all abilities.

“We have carefully designed a programme that will appeal to as wide a range and age of children as possible.” Said Mr Ash, Penryn’s Study Support Programme Manager. “There is hopefully something for everyone, and the intention is that everything is inclusive, but also very much focussed on stretching and developing each participant. We know how hard the holidays can be for parents, so hopefully we can ease the burden slightly!”.

The huge range of activities are all listed on the new MyEdventure.co.uk website and parents also now have the capability to book and pay online.

So regardless of the weather this Summer, there is no excuse for any child to be heard to utter that familiar holiday-time phrase, “I’m bored”.
