Ten Tors Teams Complete 35-Mile Challenge

13 May 2022

Penryn College’s two Ten Tors teams demonstrated exceptional togetherness, resilience and determination to complete the 35-mile Ten Tors Challenge on Dartmoor last week.

Despite a member of the group falling ill early on in the event, students in Team A displayed amazing bravery and teamwork to reach Tor 6 on the opening day. An early departure on Sunday then allowed the team to cross the finish line in the afternoon and collect their medals!

Members of Team B enjoyed a record-breaking opening day after making it to Tor 8; this was the first time a Penryn College team has reached this stage of the event on the opening day. Team B also decided on an early-morning departure, and crossed the finish line at 11.10am to collect their medals!

A huge well done to both of our Ten Tors teams! Huge congratulations also to our students who took part with other teams, and thank you to Miss Edgell, Mr Williams and Miss Marsh for leading training and supporting pupils since October.

Team A members: Robert, Isla, Paddy, Ruan, Rafael, Orion.

Team B members: Daniel, Lubin, William, Raffy, Alfred, James.
