U14 Netball Squad Crowned County Schools Champions

Penryn College’s U14 Netball squad lifted the County Schools Netball Cup earlier this week, following a fantastic tournament performance.

The girls’ route to the final began with group stage victories over Pool Academy, Penrice Academy, Richard Lander School, Falmouth School, Penair School, Budehaven School and Newquay Thetherras – ensuring a top-place finish and a spot in the semi-finals – where they faced Mounts Bay School.

And after eliminating Mounts Bay, Penryn went on to clinch the trophy in style with a memorable 17-5 victory over Truro High School for Girls.

The girls have now qualified for the South West Regional Tournament – which takes place in Bournemouth on Saturday 26 January. They will join the U16 squad, who have also qualified for the tournament.
