U15 Football Players Suffer Narrow County Schools Final Defeat

01 May 2019

Penryn College’s U15 Football players narrowly missed out on lifting the County Schools trophy on Tuesday evening, following their 1-0 defeat to Saltash Community School in the County Schools final at St Blazey AFC.

A late second-half strike from Saltash’s frontman was enough to separate the two sides, in an encounter that Penryn dominated for large spells.

After an evenly-contested opening half, the boys produced some brilliant attacking football during the second period – and each and every Penryn player put in a fantastic performance up until the final whistle.

A huge well done to all of the squad for their efforts in what’s been a brilliant season!
