U15 Handball Players Compete in Regional Tournament

Penryn College’s U15 Girl’s Handball Team took part in the Regional Schools Handball Tournament in Paignton on Wednesday, competing against schools based in the West Midlands, Dorset, and Devon. 

Penryn competed fantastically well in their opening two games, and were unlucky to suffer losses in both encounters. They then faced Torquay Girls’ Grammar School in their final match – working as a team to dominate possession and defend superbly – defeating the Devon-based school 4-3. 

Commenting on the girls’ participation in the tournament, Penryn College Head of PE, Miss Blackburn, said: “Each member of the team performed brilliantly. The girls were a credit to the school and behaved impeccably.”
