U16 Footballers Take Part in 3-3 Thriller Against Exeter City Academy

15 April 2021

The U16 Performance Football squad registered a fantastic 3-3 draw against Exeter City Academy at Homers Heath, Newton Abbot, on Thursday afternoon.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, it was the squad’s fourth competitive fixture since September, but the performance was full of energy and resilience, and followed December’s narrow defeat to Plymouth Argyle Academy.

After City went into the half-time interval with a 2-0 lead, second-half goals from Olly P (2) and Jack S (1) ensured that the teams shared the spoils in what was an action-packed encounter, with both sides producing some fine attacking football throughout.

Following the full-time whistle, Study Support Manager, Mr Ash, reflected on the U16’s performance. He said: “As always, the boys represented our school community with pride, and produced a brave, high-quality performance.”

A big thank you to the players, their parents, and Mr Ash and Mr Bidgood for providing their time.
