World Book Day 2020
24 February 2020As part of this year’s World Book Day on Thursday 5 March, students and staff will be taking part in a huge variety of activities and celebrations at Penryn College!
Check out the full schedule below, with instructions on how pupils can play their part in the activities!
What: Student Fancy Dress Competition – Pupils will have the opportunity to dress as their favourite book-based character. Please note that this is not a non-uniform day – students can dress up as book characters, but otherwise need to be in full school uniform. Pupils can stay in fancy dress all day unless they need to wear PE kit, etc. Students should also bring their uniform to school.
Where and When: Judging will take place in E3 during morning break.
What: Staff Fancy Dress Competition – Students vote for the member of staff with the best book-themed fancy dress outfit. Pupils will need to use Showbie code 677GH and write the name of the member of staff and why they voted.
Where and When: All around the school, all day!
What: Appear on a Book Cover!
Where and When: CA5, at lunchtime.
What: Various Book-Related Activities.
Where and When: The Library, at lunchtime.
What: Craft Activities and Games.
Where and When: E3, at lunchtime.
What: World Book Day-Inspired Games – Students will need to follow the link via Showbie code 677GH to reveal games and activities on their iPads.
