Year 11 Update

23 July 2020

Please see Mr Walker’s latest Year 11 update below:

I would like to provide you with an update before we officially finish the term. Firstly, thank you to those Year 11’s and parents/carers who have returned equipment. We have also received some really generous donations of uniform and PE kit, so a big thank you for that, too. Unfortunately, we are still short of a significant number of iPads and we really do need these so that we can prepare them for our new Year 7 pupils. If any equipment needs to be returned, please can you do this as soon as possibleand contact the school on 01326 372379or via secretary@penryn-college.cornwall.sch.uk. I cannot overstate how important the iPads are, so please help us out!

Exam Results Day

The official Exam Results Day is Thursday 20 August, and we are really looking forward to welcoming everyone from 8.30am onwards. We will plan for this event to be outside (weather permitting!) with all of the relevant social distancing measures in place. It will be fantastic to see everyoneeven if there are reduced hugs this year! As alwaysplease remember that the results belong to the student, so if you, as parent/carer, intend to collect them on behalf of your son or daughteryou will need written permission.

If it is not possible for you or your son or daughter to collect the results on the morning of Thursday 20 August, then please let us know so we can e-mail the results from mid-morning onwards. Please inform us of this via exams@penryn-college.cornwall.sch.uk. Please note that results will only be emailed to students’ school email accounts.

Prom and Leavers Day

We are going to have a Prom and Leavers’ Day, and the day is getting closer – we just need to hold on a little longer.

Thank you

Thank you for your continued support, and take care.
