Parents’ Forum

Please note that tonight’s Parent Forum has been POSTPONED to Monday 20 April from 5pm.

We believe that strong partnerships between home and school are key to every child’s success. Our Parent Forums provide a welcoming space for parents and carers to come together, share ideas and their expertise, as well as discuss important topics that impact our children and community.

We have listened to your feedback about the timing of the parent forums, and we are therefore postponing tonight’s forum to allow more families to join us at our next meeting together.

Our next meeting will be an extended parents forum on Monday 20th April, split into 2 sessions:
  1. 5:00pm-5:30pm – we would like to share a sneak peak of our new website and would love to hear your opinions and expertise on the new website and the 5-year vision we are working on.
  2. 5:30-6:30pm – Safeguarding and Anti-bullying – students will present their Anti-Bullying Ambassador work and we will be joined by community members to discuss this important work.
You are welcome to attend either or both sessions. For planning and catering, please would you complete the form below to let us know if you are attending:

Penryn College is always working to improve the way the school is run. Parents/carers – staff need and always value your input. Perhaps you are a new parent/carer this year – how has the start of term been for you and your child? Do you have any recommendations on ways we could improve the experience? Or maybe you’ve been with us a while and have seen children move though different years and take exams. What feedback can you offer? Is there anything you’d like to suggest that could be done differently? Staff would like to know what works for you and what doesn’t work so well. That way, the school can make efforts to change and improve.

An introduction to Parents' Forum, from a parent

Our parent forum of parents and staff meets half-termly, and we’d be keen to have as many parents/carers as possible join. We like to meet in person, but can include virtual meetings in our plans. If you can’t make the meetings, please e-mail any suggestions that you would like to be discussed; we will write minutes of the meetings so you can see the outcomes. Please e-mail parents@penryn-college.cornwall.sch.uk to contribute to this month’s meeting, informing us if you can join, or if you are unable to attend. Please let us know your thoughts on this meeting’s theme so we can include it in our discussions.
