Mr Walker’s Update
04 September 2020Please see Mr Walker’s latest update below:
Good afternoon.
This week, we have enjoyed two days of staff training. We are nearly there, and look forward to seeing students next week. All the information you need for the return to school is in the update I sent out on Wednesday, which can be found here.
It will be great to see students on the following days:
Monday 7 September: Year 11 only
Tuesday 8 September: Year 7 and Year 11
Wednesday 9 September: Years 7, 11 and 10
Thursday 10 September: Years 7, 11, 10 and 8
Friday 11 September: All year groups
To ensure a smooth start to the school day, your child will need to bring a full water bottle to school. Please also ensure that uniform is correct and no nose studs are worn. Hair should not be coloured, and hoodies are for Years 10 and 11 only.
Video
You can see our video, which shows how our new school layout and one-way system works, by clicking here. Remember, Years 7-10 will move around the school using the outdoor areas, while Year 11 will primarily be using the inside of the building to move around the school.
Timetables
Year 11 timetables are now available on the Virtual School. Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 timetables will be on the Virtual School at midday on Monday.
Upon arrival on the first day back:
- Year 11 students should report to their tutor base
- Year 7 students should report to the TISA (the domed sports tent at the back of school)
- Years 10, 8 and 9 should report to their first lesson classroom junction
So there we are – we are ready to go. If you have any questions or queries, please don’t sit on them or worry – just e–mail me (pwalker@penryn-college.cornwall.sch.uk). I will be checking my e–mail inbox all weekend, and will contact you as soon as I can.
